    Hello Connor thanks again I think Orbolt has been locked but the version on the site should be open and I’ll double check the orbolt version to see if I can get an unlocked version up. Also not sure what you mean by promoting the attribute, the asset should take care of that unless there was a major update change I missed recently.

    • Hey Gary! Using your hair card SOP for Houdini. Wanted to download it and see inside to troubleshoot, which Orbolt wouldn’t let me do. One thing that’s not clear in your tutorial is that in 16.5 you have to promote the clumpid attribute from the Hair Gen SOP. Once I got that figured out, I was able to follow the rest of the tutorial. Baking now!

    Great to know as I’m dying for real world feedback from others. The prim sort is nice but can be tricky if you’re not careful with planar hair objects and the clump size. But it’s functional for the most part.

    • Checking the asset. It’s funny that what I did is basically identical (using clumpid to generate polystrips) but your primitive sort is nice and gives better results. I’ll have to test it tomorrow with a proper model. Will let you know.

      • Great to know as I’m dying for real world feedback from others. The prim sort is nice but can be tricky if you’re not careful with planar hair objects and the clump size. But it’s functional for the most part.

    • Will need to dig a bit. This is a vital asset for our movie, but we need to output animated hair meshes, not only static grooms. It works but it’s not very efficient till now.

    Did you use Moho for the ING spot anychance?

    • Hello Gary, thanks for the kind words.
      That spot is TV Paint + After Effects if I remember correctly.
      We’re not using Moho for 2D, we’re using ToonBoom, TV Paint, AFX, ClipStudio Paint.
