Animation Locals: Who wants to do a meetup group? Or get free 3D assets? Register and introduce yourselves

Psynema is now open for user registrations. Comment, subscribe to posts, and more importantly, network. I get many emails and resumes from people looking to network. I figure having a community on the actual Psynema website first would be a better way to know people.

The future is changing. I feel traditional video websites that are a digital business card with contact info and a screening room that rarely change have become stale. I’d love to have a dynamic and interactive website, similar to a magazine forum, with articles and discussions going on everyday.

More importantly, as far as networking, I’d like to schedule LOCAL MEETUPS in Philadelphia centered around video and animation production.
I plan on starting local meet ups soon for the spring and summer of this year so now is a great time to register. Build a profile and let me know your skills.

Also PLEASE UPLOAD A PROFILE PIC and complete an actual profile with an actual name. I’ll be keeping an eye out for pesky spammers 😛

I am currently aiming to start meet ups around animation. I’d like to start scheduled and RECURRING meetup groups for:

Houdini
Unreal Engine
Substance Designer or Painter

Psynema is also looking to network with FX Artists in:

Blender
BlackMagic Fusion
BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve
Moho 12 (Anime Studio Pro)

And plain old video production artists are welcome as well.

Aside from networking and priority if I need to hire anyone, other benefits of registering are:

Occasional free/discounted 3D swag such as materials, models, and procedural Houdini assets.

The featured video above was made with a cocktail of Moho 12, BlackMagic Fusion, BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve, and Blender to help usher in Moho / Anime Studio Pro 12. And yes it’s a spoof on Stranger Things, which debuted around the time Moho 12 launched. I love Fusion’s quick and easy 3D particle system with physics…hopefully they get a built in camera tracker soon 😛

Thanks again for reading Psynema.com.
