Seeherman Wedding Audio Commentary
Elisa and Michael (the bride and groom) wanted to have an audio commentary on their final DVD, just like movie DVD. They recorded commentary and I added it as a separate selectable track on the DVD. Here’s a sample of the commentary over the background audio.
Elisa and Michael said they wanted the commentary, not so much to mimic a movie DVD, but just to capture their thoughts as their day happened and most importantly, to point out the family members as they looked in 2005 so their children and grandchildren will know who they are. Also, it was a nice way to get backstory on organizing their wedding.

Ah cool idea, but how does it work? It’s like a voiceover narration or is it a separate audio track?
Hello Marcia,
Just like a movie DVD, it’s a selectable OPTION on their DVD, so they can play it with or without from the menu or control pad.
That’s an interesting idea! Also, what software do you use to edit video?
Thanks. I’ve been using Final Cut Pro since it was released about a decade ago (can’t believe it was that long ago LOL).
No, this is very very brilliant… in its simplicity. Because, what you have is a narrator to bring you though absolute insanity, which a wedding really is. It’s family issues, overworked brides and grooms, flowers, music, and food.
That’s an excellent idea.
Anyway.
I’m kind of in shock knowing that I cut my thesis film with Avid, on a Mac… Yeah, that was almost 2000? I don’t remember.
However, I remember Mac dropping Avid… and hence, the birth of Final Cut. That was, what… 2002?
God…
Yep, we’re geting old, Mike. At least you didn’t have to use the Casablanca like me and Max!
Anyhow, not sure where else to post this, but just wanted to say hello to Gary and Mike and everyone else here on this site. Just joined. I hope to get the chance to finally meet Gary and some of you all. I’ve been impressed by Gary’s entrepreneurial spirit…it looks like he has some good things going here!
I’m working on a very geeky documentary right now about a computing platform from the 1980’s. Gonna be very 80’s retro, quirky, fun and very visual. If anyone has seen “Chasing Ghosts”, that is what I am hoping to emulate in some ways.
Please check out the website. Making some good progress….one of the machine’s main engineers has gotten on board and will be in the film now. If anyone is interested in knowing more, contact me : zweddington@gmail.com
Mike, let’s meet up sometime. I work in CC.
